Customer reports that various forms on version 4.4 latest PU will sporadically default to MIcrosoft Image Writer instead of the printer in their office that they typically use. At first I thought this was because not everyone on the network has the same printer names. I know that can cause problems. So I took the brute force method of creating unique forms for each office (there is a remote office). Problem persists. I'm not entirely sold it's a MAS issue since the customer has noted it as happening in Word/Excel. Anyone seen/solved this before?

Just the other day someone was trying to print something and their printer had defaulted back to that and when they tried it elsewhere it did that, too. They were on 4.40 or 4.50 - if I could remember the client, I could tell you for sure. I do know it was just the one time, though.

In a citrix environment this can happen if they don't allow access to the local hard drive. The terminal server can't read the registry.

Is this similar to the Deferred Printing option being the only 'printer' available? I found that if I open the ODBC administrator and verify the path, it works after that even though I don't change anything. Sage has a couple of write-ups but they don't work for my issue.
