Customer purchased SO with original purchase but decided not to install with the original installation. Now they want to install SO but it doesn't come up as an option when you choose to add modules and no to new keys. So, went back a menu option and choose the new keys option figuring to enter the keys and proceed. But oh no, that would be too easy. Now I get an error message that the unlocking keys are invalid because we are trying to install to the wrong version. Say what? So, bypassing the keys issue for now, is there a file inside Sage to change to make it think SO is not installed? There was a SO folder on the server that we renamed to old, but that didn't work. SO does not come up on the installed modules listing. Version 5.00.4. Thanks.

try renaming the SO folder back and then uninstalling the module in Library master > setup > system configuration I'd have a backup handy just in case.

Maybe tell it that you have new keys, reenter the old ones and see if it will pop.

@Jeff - I tried that and that is where I got the message that the keys were invalid for the version of the software. Really strange because the keys were copied out of the current installation and pasted into a text document and then copied back into the install screen.

I don't think they ever cleaned this up from back in the v4.1 days. Heaven help those who installed the module for the 30 (or 45) day trial then decided to buy it. Last I heard (back in the day) was that Sage was telling people to install in a new folder....... Gotta love em...

sounds like it was installed at some point. If you rename it back, then go into company maint and click on Activate, is SO an option?

@David - unfortunately SO is not listed in system configuration. @ Miranda - it isn't there either.

Are you installing on the same server or workstation where the original install was done? You might also check the version(s) listed in the SY_Module.m4t file to make sure everything matches.
