Customer on v4.30 experienced a workstation crash. Replaced with Windows 8 workstation. I re-run workstation setup, install the 430PDF Patch (they are on PU 23). The Sage PDF printer gets installed, change the port to local/sage. Now I'm getting ""Unable to create a session object. The workstation may have been corrupted"". Sadly happening on all workstations not just the Windows 8. Tried: Uninstall/reinstall Rename the SY_Workstation/ SY_Console Everything is ""run as Administrator

Did you rename sessions.pvk? Any mods?

Possibly turn off UAC and reboot and then reinstall workstation setup per attached which is not the same error.

Another spot specific to WIN 8. https://90minds-com.socialcast.com/messages/14189082?ref=stream Way down at the bottom, @GeneUlrich posted a thread on hacking the registry setting. I have had to do this three times now on WIN 8 machines. But that doesn't explain why all workstations went south..... Rogue printer on the network that needs to be deleted????

Thanks I've tried most of these suggestions without luck. It's one of the increasingly dangerous aspects of supporting customers who continue to use unsupported versions of Sage 100. Unfortunately they're going to learn that in many cases we won't have the tools to resolve an OS or rights related issue and their only recourse may be a prepaid emergency upgrade to a supported version. Tinkering with making an unsupported version of Sage 100 work with a modern OS is outside the scope of support.

From an old 4.1 KB article Subject: ""Unable to create a session object. The workstation may have been corrupted"" when starting Sage MAS 90 or 200 or installing Workstation Setup. Possible Resolutions: Reinstall Workstation Setup. A file in ..\Mas90\Soa may be damaged. Restore the ..\Soa folder from a recent backup. Pvxdax.dll may not be registered on the server. Note: This may occur after uninstalling another Sage MAS 90 installation or upgrading the server operating system. oReinstall System Setup and Library Master. oReinstall Workstation Setup. Providex.* dictionaries may be damaged. This may be a result of an enhancement that was not merged properly. If enhancements exist, contact the master developer or your Sage business partner. For Sage MAS 200, rename the following files: oSY_Console oSY_Workstation oSessions.pvk
