Sage 100

Customer on Sage 100 Standard 4.50.5 is getting the message below when trying to print the WO transaction journal. It is happening on everyone's workstation so it isn't specific to any single one. Worked yesterday, not today. They say nothing has been done to the system but they are checking with their IT provider. Any ideas??

Turn off Paperless Journals?

Rename and manually reinitialize the 5 WO Sort files and then Rebuild WO Sorts. Retry update. I have had this happen before.

Well, interestingly enough, I reran a wksetup on the MAS server and now it works on both the server and the workstations. Hmm.....

Hmm.. is right. And I'll also give it a 'Vulcan' expression of interesting (Spock's one raised eyebrow). Is there an emoticon for that?

I'm thinking it registered the .dll's correctly on the server but that's a WAG.

So why did re-running a wksetup on the server resolve it @LeeGraham ?

Maybe re-installing the SagePDF Converter with WK Setup was the issue.

did it preview fine?

I never tried previewing it, to be honest. It also seemed like it was only in WO. She was printing PO receipts to paperless just fine. Perhaps a legacy issue? Although, that was after I had rerun the setup on the server. When I went back to her desktop, she was printing the PO receipts.

Well, the fix was short-lived. Tried updating the batches separately (yes, they do batch entry) and all was good. Looked at renaming the sort files (thanks @JoanSerr !) and found old batches in a couple of them. Renamed the batch files and rebuilt sorts. Now they can update all batches with no error.
