Customer on 4.4 wants to clean up items no longer used. Trying to do the merge into one item thing. VI imports 2500 records into the IM_DeleteChange file, and they show in the grid. Click Proceed, it prints the listing with only 86 records on it, and reduces the record count to 86 in the file. What is happening???

Maybe special characters in the ItemCode? Like double-quotes?

Although if everything shows up correctly in the grid, then that wouldn't make any sense.

Are you importing a line number sequence?

I am importing a line number sequence. There is some VI weirdness going on here as there are five items that would not import but can be entered manually into the screen. The only double quote was in one of those. The problem happens whether I manually add those five items or not.

What happens when you break it down to smaller groupings - Say 100 or so?

What PU are they on? This was a 4.40.0.8 patch 3) New inventory items are now imported into Inventory Delete and Change Utility when the new item is the ALIAS of the original item. DE 96934 KBId 112225 Resolution ID 537508

They are on 4.4.08. Figured it out: the items it flagged as not existing (even though they do exist) it was creating records with the source item to and from fields blank. Deleted those records and the import worked.

Strange - How were they flagged as not existing? Thanks for the feedback.
