Customer on 3.60 trying to install to a Windows 7 workstation. Error 65 SWCOCX 8460, when printing graphical forms or Crystal Reports I try to register the MASCR.DLL using RegSvr32 from the Syswow and System32 -- and get an error 0x80070005. When I Google this it seems to indicate a lack of rights to register. I'm thinking it'a a user rights problem however the user on the account naturally indicates they are administrator... ?

I don't know if it's related, but I was just about to post a heads up. I had 2 customers call today with an ""error 12 SWCOCX"" Both customers are using the free virus scan avast. It looks like the scan removed the mascr.dll from C:\Program Files\ Common Files \ Sage \ Common Components. I copied the dll from the server where Crystal was working and it appears to have fixed the issue.

SWCOCX errors are sometimes CRPE32.dll issues aren't they?? Usually multiple versions of it or in the wrong folder....

I am not completely sure, but is 3.60 blessed on Win 7? Seem to recall using 'XP Mode' but I am not sure how that is accomplished.

@RandyMarion - Isn't that an option under the icon properties?

Update: Logged into this customer and by some miracle the issue was resolved. I had re-run workstation setup so possibly when the customer re-booted the computer at the end of the day this corrected something.
