    Customer needs EDI...but quotes received are extremely high for their budget. At some point I read about a service where you would pay per transaction. I am completely lost??? They have approximately 1,500 invoices per month. Suggestions???

    B2B Gateway I believe is a per transaction EDI. It was a few years ago, but their prices seemed reasonable. I've never used them myself, so can't vouch for them any further.

    True Commerce (High Jump) is transaction based also. They have a web based portal that you can use on the low end. Not sure about your transaction count though.

    Mapadoc has a EDI light, that was quite a bit lower then most EDI transaction managers

    Wake up call for customer: EDI is expensive and a pain. Companies generally do this when a big customer says ""you will do this or we will find another provider who offers EDI"". I compare it to shingling your roof. Nobody puts on a new roof because ""it seems like a good idea
