Customer is on 2017 100c Advanced. They are currently using a third party system for tracking inventory and we are trying to move them to Sage. Consignment inventory involved and will be separate warehouses. In 3rd party system, there is a portal for consignees to log into, see their inventory still on hand and send an email to order back their inventory. What options are available to create a customer portal for them to see only their inventory which I'm guessing we would need to upload every night or use InSync. InSync is a future option, but not right now. Any better options for Consignment Inventory other than separate warehouses? They will also be using DSD Basic MB.

Nancy, we can probably handle some of this with features from Service Center. With Service Center you can ship out items to a Loaner warehouse. All the items go to one warehouse regardless of the customer and the system keeps track of which items belong to which customers. We have reports and tables which can show this info. Reach out to me next week if you want to discuss in more detail.

what would a customer portal do? Do you want to place orders through it? Or just having a fancy website to logon in to? why not use knowledgesync to either email the a pdf stock status every day of their warehouse or have knowledgesync write a pdf/xls to the webserver every 2 hours and send them the special link so they just see their specific warehouse. And do that for the other consignees/warehouses I have done this exact think through ebus mgr to display inventory for different warehouses and different customers. I took off the ability to buy on these sites. Below is an example of a site. In this case I am showing 3 warehouses side by side. Ebus normally only shows the one warehouse you are assigned to. In your case you could assign each customer to their specific warehouse and you are done!

One of my clients uses Knowledgesync as Johnny suggests. Works well for them. If they are using KS, there are many other alerts that they could benefit from (e.g. end of day reports, AR statements to sales every Sunday night, reorder stock, etc). Those that understand the power, love it.

I like the idea of the KS, checking to see if they renewed it. They had it but couldn't get it working (didn't engage us!), may have dropped it at conversion to 100c.

I found it somewhat clunky if you use the KLF and linked tables. Much, much, much easier if you go the Access db and PTQ table route. An added plus with this route is that you don't have to buy additional licenses for additional database connectivity.

Manage inventory as a separate warehouse with quantities at no cost. Then look at xkzero mobile sales. As I recall, you can configure customers for self-service.
