Customer is getting this input/output error SY_Service. KB says it can be corrupted profile. IT gave all employees new profiles and the error stopped for three days. Now it is back. Wksetups have been uninstalled and reinstalled as admin multiple times. I don't want to start that circus again. Any other thoughts??? (v2014 PU 3 I believe. Standard)

I had this happen with a client, but it only happened on one workstation. I also uninstalled and reinstalled wksetup and it fixed it temporarily and then they received the error again. They ended up installing the Microsoft updates on that computer and it fixed it.

Well, they switched IT firms and their server hadn't had any MS updates in over a year. Of course, the new IT firm installed them all a week and a half ago and that's when these errors started happening. Perhaps a new MS update occurred?? Even so, they shouldn't have to address this weekly. What causes these input/output errors??

We haven't had this happen for any other client and even for that client it was just one workstation and they haven't had a problem since. They reported it about 3 weeks ago. This particular user had large font in Windows selected and not medium font. I don't know if that had an impact on the error and the MS update solving it. They use Sage 100 and not 100c. She was able to use large font successfully after the MS update although I told her that Sage 100 isn't designed to use that and she may receive errors, not see full fields, etc.
