Sage 100

Customer is getting a bunch of Error 105 SY_GridHandler errors. Their IT guy did something last week and we're trying to get a hold of him but any thoughts? Happens in SO entry, GL entry, IM transaction entry.

Did they recently get new monitors or update their video cards?

If that is the case, try lowering the resolution of the screens. We ran into this about 6 months ago. I don't know if it is the same issue with your customer, but the IT guy told us he replaced the monitors and upped the screen resolution.

Tried that but it didn't work. The Method in the error says SaveGridSettings. Permissions? UAC is off, users have full control in the MAS90 folder.

Could it be a permissions issue? Are you able to log into one of the workstations as the administrator? I would try a right click on the Sage 100 icon and run as administrator.

Logged onto the server as administrator - same errors.

Are the grid definitions redefined if I rename that file?

Used UFAR to rebuild SY_GridDefinition and we are now good!!

Wow, what made you think of UFAR? Sounds like UFAR is the cure all for everything.

I searched a little differently on the KB and found it. Made a copy of it and thought, what the heck?

Nice to know. Those grid handler errors are royal PITA's
