Customer is considering 100c mainly for Sage Inventory Advisor. What's the difference between ""Basic"" and the full functioning version?

I think the biggest difference is that you can't include Bill or WO information.

That may be the deal killer as they really want material planning and purchasing info.

I guess Sage is being semi-consistent - the ""free"" stuff seems to be aimed at distribution. Once you get into Mfg, then you start having to pay to get it to work (the new multi-bin, SIA, etc).

Makes sense. These guys make to stock so planning is more important than order fulfillment. Thanks for the information though.

Attached is some information on the differences that Tom Wilson sent me about a year ago. He's the main contact at Sage for any questions. Or you can talk to Russ Graff, who I believe is a member of 90 Minds. Tom Wilson Product Specialist Sage Inventory Advisor 949-754-3576 Office 949-241-7974 Mobile Tom.Wilson@sage.com

Just had a customer ask this question - ""What's the difference between the 'free' Inventory Advisor and what we're paying for?

I just had a customer go through a demo with Tom Wilson - here are some tidbits: I believe one of the big limits is that SIA basics won't work with Bill of Materials. As discussed, I have prepared a proposal with our Valuation Pricing model (**Wayne:** Not sure what other pricing models are available) which is based on three components: Activation Fee of $2250 due at contract signing Monthly Base Fee of $199 due at contract signing Monthly Inventory Valuation Fee - calculated against a rate table that increases for every $250k of inventory managed in SIA due in 30 days after contract signing and billed monthly along with the Base subscription. With an inventory valuation estimate of $1,800,000 the estimated Base and Valuation fee will be $328.50 (I believe this is monthly) Tom Wilson Product Specialist Sage Inventory Advisor Sage Office: +01 949-754-3576 | Mobile: +01 949-241-7974 Twitter | YouTube | LinkedIn | Facebook | Community

@KathrynScofield the other reason to go 100c is $ 0 platform change to SQL (presuming they aren't already Premium). If they have any size data files the use of SQL tables is probably justification enough.

Can anyone update on the progress made with the links to WO and Job Cost. A few years back, these were big issues (@MoiraGoggin ). One client actually dropped SA because of the issues with these modules. The SA people seemed to have a deer in the headlight look back then.

Think they still do @JeffSchwenk. With J/C in framework that integration one might be a little better. W/O was hard for them to get, scheduling, and push/pull into their systems with infinite load. Likely if W/O makes it to framework this might be improved in the future. I've asked SIA over a year ago to share on SC how they get notified about 'prospects'. SIA is offered as part of Gold BP. Sage sends the customer list to SIA and they start prospecting; they are supposed to work with the reseller, but I do not think that is adhered to. SIA (at least a while ago) works optimally with clean dataset - S/O & P/O up to date, primary vendors and lead times, reviewed costs and prices, to name a few. This is all excellent consulting work for us, if we get the opportunity and SIA doesn't bypass us. @WayneSchulz may have more recent insight. I've been reviewing EazyStock which has a richer history, fairer prices to customers, a partner channel program with up to 40% margins, and integrates with multiple ERP systems. EazyStock is a part of Syncron International. https://www.eazystock.com/

I find most customers don't want to pay anything for a cleanup of their inventory unless and until they have serious pain. In this case, I leave it to the customer to attend the demo and walk through the setup with SIA. The new pricing models don't leave enough money for me to sit through umpteen demos and Q&A, etc. Then at the end of the demo if I've been participating for free I'm leaving the impression in the customer's mind that I'm going to be cleaning up and project managing for free too. If the customer buys then it's between them and SIA to get it implemented. I'm happy to assist for a fee but we usually don't get the call until the train is off the tracks and sideways.
