Customer has created a new company code and wants to move all ALE Lookups to that company code. Is there a way to do this without recreating each lookup? Perhaps through DFDM?

It's in the SY_PersonalizeALE.m4t. If you change the company code on the record it seems to copy to the other company.

I thought the same thing, but I tried moving a few and I don't see them in the new company code.. I also created a new custom lookup for testing, but I don't see it in the file. I assumed that Field 7 - Lookup$ would be the name assigned to the lookup, but it seems to indicate the table, instead. Very frustrating.

I made a change and found it in the ..\SOA\sy1q01.soa file. Tried to edit it but got a message that DFDM can't be used to edit ALE files.

That's what they would have you believe, isn't it? Try copying that file out to another directory and renaming it to test.soa then using DFDM to edit it.

Gene and Dawn - tried what you suggested. Renamed the sy1q01.soa file and accessed via DFDM. Renamed key to change the company code associated with the record and kept the original key. I can see the title of the customized ALE in the second company code, but the customizations in the ALE did not follow over. Just wanted to let you know. Customer is in the process of recreating his lookups in the new company code, but we both appreciate the effort. Thanks for your help.

Is there more than one record perhaps?
