Customer has 5000 employees and ""somehow"" the 2nd and 3rd quarter payrolls were combined. They need the PR_40 efiling file fixed and you can export the file but you cannot import back into that file. They are on v4.40. Anyone have any ideas about what we can do?

Worst case, import Q3 into a new company as 1 check per employee. Then file....unless someone has a more appropriate fix.

Not sure if Alnoor's work around for allowing import in to files/fields not listed in VI by default would work on PR_40 (you could try one field and see) or not but here it is: How to modify VI Data Dictionaries for 4.x framework DFDM MAS90\providex.ddf Lookup by name to find the VI entity to modify - get the key ID. DFDM MAS90\providex.dde Search by Key. Find the field record you want to modify Edit field 20 (15,1) a zero is importable. a 1 is read only.

Perhaps the 1st thing to do is figure out if during Aatrix eFile if PR_40 ends up getting refreshed (from PR3 I guess). No point in fixing PR_40 if it's going to get overwritten anyway. To test you could make a backup of PR_40, then DFDM change 1 employee Fed record, then go into Aatrix and see if your changed number shows up or the one (from PR3) overwrites it.

Thank you for the suggestions. I renamed and manually reinitialized the PR_40 file and there was nothing when I did the efiling. Since this is legacy, we have to change the sy0dct.soa file instead of providex.dde. For future reference, will let you know if this doesn't work. Thanks again!
