Customer (4.50 Sage 100 Advanced) asked if documents can be attached in general journal entry. I found you can create a memo code and attach a document at the entry level. However, now the bigger question where do I get to see the memo and attachment after updating? I looked in the account and drilled down on the journal entry but there is nothing for the attachment. I can see the record in GL_GeneralJournalMemo, but can't find it via any inquiry. Also looked in GL/Setup/Source Journal Maintenance and nothing to indicate a memo is attached. Has anyone encountered this?

If you're printing to Paperless, you can attach documents to the PDF's I believe. @JeffSchwenk ?

That is the only part of the system that memos do not work like other modules. You have to go to Library Master, Link Maintenance Utility and select Memo Attachments as the Link Type to see memos that have been attached to general ledger entries.

I use paperless to attach documents, but it attaches to the one update, not the individual JE's (unless you update one at a time).

I've also started user paperless to attach a scanned PDF of daily cash receipt checks to the cash receipts register. Also, when I am done with the bank reconciliation for the month, I scan the bank statement and attach to the final reconciliation printed prior to purging....

@TyiDuncanWhitcomb I tried your suggestion and it didn't change anything or give me a way to see memo's for Journal Entries in 2014.

Shawn - I tried it and it worked just like Tyi said. Did you click the 'refresh' after you selected your filters? Note this is for memo attachments, don't remember if I could see the actual memo, but I did see the attachment.

@NancyHanson thank you for the clarification. Indeed, an attachment can be accessed using the utility but any memo appears to be effectively lost.
