  • 1.  Custom Reports

    Customer on v2021....got a new server and did a migration. 
    Now on the new server...even tough all the custom reports are on the Report Manager...The Custom Menu is not in the module tree
    Already ran custom office utilies...any other ideas???

    Go to File, Run, sy_menu_ui and see if the check box is checked for the custom reports folder or anything else that is missing on the UI.

    Consider whether role security may be at play ( I presume it isn't since you likely logged in as a user with all rights  but just in case )

    I am sys admin...so full rights.  When I run the sy_menu_ui...the modules have the custom folders...but no reports inside.  And I went ahead and copied from the old server the file...

    In Report Manager, delete and add them back in.  Seen this in modules like Payroll and Job Cost with the big changes.

    I got the IT Manager to get me the file SY_menu.m4t from a backup of a month ago...and VOILA....all there....

    Also get a copy of SY_MenuDefault.  We've had difficulties with making changes (adding a custom report / adding a VI job to the menu), where things disappear, and we think it has something to do with the Default being reapplied for some reason.
    As a test, add a new custom report to see if things get reset... better to check now when it's on your / their mind.
