  • 1.  C/S ODBC Print Service

Some issues never seem to go away.

v2019 Advanced.  Just moved to a new server.  We have a batch file to stop and restart the C/S ODBC print service at 3 am.  Every three or four days the service needs to be stopped and re-started in the middle of the day because users can't print. Are there any other options to get this resolved?

Mod Squad Suggestion?  Schedule the batch file to run every 12 hours?  Are you sure the batch file is running?

Are there any commonality.  What is the new server OS?

Bingo @Jeff Schwenk  !  The batch job was set up by IT but the trigger was disabled.  It hasn't run automatically since the task was configured a month ago.  Thank you for reminding me to look at that.  I owe you a drink (or two).

You'll have to wait until 2022 MOTM when I see you next.  Two, 32 oz steins = 64 oz.  you may have to settle for four 12oz bottles of Hacker Pschorr Octoberfest.

I'll make it 5 12 oz bottles to get you 60 oz as long as you rifle them right before karaoke starts.
