  • 1.  Crystal Report Windows Viewer error

    v2016 STD.  In the middle of an upgrade to v2020.  The v2022 client has been installed so I have replaced the pvxwin32.exe.config so that Crystal will run in 2016.

    HOWEVER, there are several CUSTOM Crystal reports that produce this error message when running from the menu.  If I run the report from Designer, I do not encounter the error.  The report runs from the v2022 menu.

    Any thoughts?

    If the report is accessed from inside of Sage, go to the report from Report Manager and verify database.  If it pops up for the verify database, hit the back button until you can pick the Sota MAS90 database.  Save the report and try again.  (This is only a possible resolution.)

    Thinking it could possibly be the issue with a prompt for a numeric field.  You have to change the prompt to a string, then convert it to a number when using it.

    Thanks.  @Michele Herzog - Great thought.  I forgot to mention I did that as well.  Great minds think alike though.  The prompt formula is great idea. Will give it a look.
