  • 1.  Crystal Font issue (letter J)

    Customer reached out and they are experiencing the following: when the print the descriptions and if there is a capital J the J rises and will overlap on the actual print.  Here in the preview, you'll notice it is a bit offline.  Using Times New Roman font.  If I have a space after the J it's fine.  Lowercase is fine.  I also have some success if I change the font to Microsoft Sans.  Thought I'd see what the group has for feedback before I engage the customer.  Thanks in advance for the feedback.

    It looks like he added something to an item's extended description for the purposes of demonstrating this to you.  If that's the case, then I would rule out anything weird invisible characters in the data (which would have made me look in DFDM). Have you looked inside the Crystal Report for anything odd?  I would note that it seems the J doesn't go higher, but the things that follow it drop down.

    Rhonda, correct.  That was to showcase the issue.  Customer is simply going to update her forms to a font that 'works'  Microsoft Sans for example. Thanks for the feedback.  Thought it was a curious one.
