    Hi all,

One of our clients recently evaluated SageCRM and it wasn't a good fit for them.  Here's what they wrote,

"While we like the integration SAGE CRM has with our current products on the accounting and management side of the transaction, we believe it will be a difficult implementation with our sales team. The process of creating a proposal within the software is more catered towards an inventory of products, rather than a unique service for each job (showcased by the difficulty in adding photos to individual proposals). I've done some research around and found some other products that are closer to what were looking for on that end of the program:

Their assessment of Sage CRM in this example is accurate. Can it be modified to the point that it would be a good fit? Of course. But the effort to do so versus going with another solution would serve the customer better.

If they're married to the way that they've provided their expectations/requirements of integration, I would suggest that they look at Salesforce and Greytrix's GUMU integration. They won't use all of the components of Salesforce, but they will have the ability to integrate with Sage 100 as they wish and incorporate e-signature. Dan Cousins would be a good resource as he does a lot of work with Greytrix and their GUMU products across multiple CRM solutions.

If they're open to discussing their integration requirements and discussing potential procedural changes regarding the integration, then there are several options they can select. The hinging point and the biggest challenge for any CRM on the market is their custom needs with the Sage 100 integration (pushing data into Sage 100 at a specific point in their process being the primary culprit). If they were open to pushing orders/invoices into Sage 100 another method (VI job or something similar), that would open the door to multiple solutions.

Once you get past the Sage 100 integration, their next hurdle in selecting a CRM will boil down to what they're willing to accept from the UX side of the house and if they believe their salespeople will us it. But it does open the door to using Jobber, Proposify, or another CRM (we've gotten behind Creatio CRM quite a bit and it integrates well with Formstack Sign).

    I hope that helps.
