  • 1.  Credit Cards stored in Paya Vault without a Merchant Account

    Posted 12-04-2024 16:34

A Sage 100 account on version 2022 has been storing credit cards in the Paya Vault for many years without a Merchant Account.  I know Paya recently announced this is coming to an end.  Does anyone know of a specific version of Paya that shuts this down or a specific version of Sage that will lock them out of the Paya vault?  Any experiences with this?  TIA

In practice, I've noticed when making a backup company within Sage 100 for a company that is vault-only for their credit card processing a message appears that indicates the credit cards won't be copied ( sorry, I don't recall the exact message ). This didn't cause an issue for my customer since they rarely were testing anything that relied on using credit card numbers stored in the vault.

Sage also has a KB entry where they pretty much kick the can down the road with one suggestion being to call your reseller....Copy company is unable to create new 'vault-only' credit card accounts
