Credit card processing Enhancement In anticipation of Sage 100 ver 5, I have a number of customers not using SPS and one of my largest customers just dropped SPS, I understand that there is a third party enhancement that interfaces Sage 100 with other credit card processors. Does anyone know who they are? BTW, Sage's improved Customer Experience?? Here is a direct quote from an email I received this morning from the customer's CFO, ""I am very disappointed in Sage Payment Solutions. There was little communication. And then they basically told me I should have asked them for better pricing rather than shopping; pretty funny in the scheme of things. A call back takes a couple days. Why would I wait for them when I have salespeople calling all day long to get my business.

Please remember that Sage is making a change with the way they store data starting with v5.0. When they move to Sage Exchange all credit card info is stored off-site at Sage Exchange. This allows them to skip recurring compliance audits. It also means that in some manner (and Sage argues this point vehemently on semantics) that Sage 100 ERP is not PCI compliant. This means you can't store CC info inside Sage 100 when Sage stops certifying compliance. I believe this is slated to happen with Sage 100 v5.0. Sage argues that they are not required to be PCI compliant if they are not storing credit card info. I'm certain that's probably true. They were very touchy on the subject when it came up 6-10 months ago. Bottom line: If you find a third party solution where CC info is stored in Sage 100 -- it likely will NOT be deemed compliant because SAGE does not certify Sage 100 (probably starting with v5.0 but TBD). The third party vendor CANNOT certify Sage 100..... YMMV - just be very wary of this as I believe it is a little understood downside to using a third party that integrates to Sage 100. Obviously if you do not store anything (CC data) in Sage 100 then you've no worries.

We should compile a 90minds.com list -- this will become a hot topic in 3 to 6 months.
