Creating a test company within Sage 100 that links to Sage Exchange. I have a customer in the midst of a web integration project. They want to know if their Sage 100 test company integrates with Sage exchange. I know that credit card processing is enabled company by company. I'm not sure whether I can/should enable this in a test company --- and if I do what issues that may present as the customer tests into what presumably is a live SPS / Sage Exchanges? Anyone had to manage something like this previously?

You can get a test merchant # from SPS I'm pretty sure . I would talk to your SPS Rep .

Ditto Diane. During Tips and Tricks session at Summit, Ron Aspe @ Sage said it was very important to get a test merchant for SPS so that the credit card data from the test company doesn't upload into the live merchant account.

Yeah and you really can test it since it will go all the way to the VT for you to see. Great way for website testing and integration.

Side note: One thing you DONT want to do is copy Sage100 off to a new server for testing or upgrading; and turn OFF Credit card processing in that test environment. if you do then all your credit card info gets wiped out on your LIVE vault.

@MoiraGoggin - not entirely without warning - the warning that comes up indicates that you will no longer be able to process cards in this company code. (I don't have the exact message handy this morning). Reading that message does not exactly explain that the GUIDs for the credit cards are going to be moved from the vault. Hind Sight is 20/20 of course and after thinking it through, it makes perfect sense that this is what would happen. The newly copied install is pointing to the same cloud vault that you live installation is using. As soon as I hit the OK button on that message, the next message was ""transferring credit cards from vault"" which was a little better description of what was happening. but it was a little late at that point. Sage Payment Solutions can correct the vault but it was not a quick fix.
