Client just went live on v2019.3 w/ PR 2.20.2 (upgraded from 2017).  In 2017, they configured an Earnings Code using Regular instead of Misc, and it can't be changed in the new version because it's been used.  What are the ramifications of this setting?  What reports are impacted?   fyi - I'm recommending they create a new EC to use beginning with their first PR in v2.20.2.

    My two cents.

I think the primary concerns would be that some reports show regular vs other types of hours.   In addition when creating deductions that are based on earnings, they can be specified as picking up only certain types of earnings codes (regular, OT, sick, etc.).

     Beyond that, I don't know.

Well at least your taxes are screwed up.  Have had several conversions where the tax-ability of the earnings code was screwed up.  Tough fix mid year.  Regarding your issue, I don't think it is a major issue.  I have DFDM'd these fixes before.  No one ever encountered an issue.
