    I'm working to restore a client's v2021 Standard to a new, Windows 2022 server after a "Security Event".  At present, they have neither a domain nor a workgroup.  They are using Microsoft Entra as their domain controller.  I've been working through one issue after another.  I have things working on the server by running Sage as Admin.  The fun part is getting the workstation to run.  IT was getting the old "The PVX object init failed" message.  Worked through the Sage KB on that,  Set Internet properties to add pvxwin32.exe as a trusted site, but it shows the "website" as file://XXX.XX.X.XX (the IP address).  Strange.  When I launch Sage (as admin), it errors out with the message in the subject line.  I'm guessing this is an unsupported environment.  Any suggestions, or confirmation that this isn't going to work?

    My approach to this is generally to do the normal server install, and use the restored MAS90 folder as a source for a migration.  If you can get the migration / data conversion to work without errors, everything is fully functional in the same way as after an upgrade... and you avoid having to troubleshoot missing / corrupted program files that aren't part of the "data" components of the system.

    For Windows authentication issues without a domain, Windows Credentials Manager has helped me out a couple times.  Basically it allows you to configure Windows credentials for a remote machine, without relying on a mapped drive's saved password.

    It seems that the workstation sync may be failing.  The article attached to this post is a different message than the one your customer is getting however it may be of some help,
