For Windows authentication issues without a domain, Windows Credentials Manager has helped me out a couple times. Basically it allows you to configure Windows credentials for a remote machine, without relying on a mapped drive's saved password.

My approach to this is generally to do the normal server install, and use the restored MAS90 folder as a source for a migration. If you can get the migration / data conversion to work without errors, everything is fully functional in the same way as after an upgrade... and you avoid having to troubleshoot missing / corrupted program files that aren't part of the "data" components of the system.
