  • 1.  Copying copy data - v2017

    Am trying to copy company data via Library Master | Company maintenance.  Have done this numerous times for this client.  I shut down the ADV service, shut down the EBM service, kill all PVX sessions via task manager and then launch in MAS 90 mode.  This time, the copy process seems to stop (never finishes).  Actually, never seems to start.  Have tried to copy company data to several different companies.  All freeze up.  I terminate the process via task manager.

    Any thoughts on how to move the ball forward?

    Are you trying to copy to an existing company?  What happens if you create a new copy company?
    I don't shut down the ADV service, maybe the freeze up is network related?

    Anything in the Activity Log? What happens? Does it look like it is started but hangs? Any messages?

    @Nancy Hanson - I kill the service so that the EBM does not start any new sessions while I am trying to copy.  @Therese Logeais - I never think to look at the activity logs.  One would think after nearly 20 years, that would be the first place to start.  Thanks, will look into both ideas.
