Copying a company - Payroll module I recently noticed something funky with the Payroll module in the Company Copy screen. With all modules deselected, selecting the Payroll module auto-selects CI and GL as well. But then if you click on the Forms ckbox for Payroll, it unchecks that line and changes the Payroll text description to Bank Reconciliation. So with it unchecked, the Payroll data doesn't appear to get copied. And even if you re-check that line that now says Bank Reconciliation, it still doesn't appear to copy the Payroll data. Weird stuff. So therefore upon accessing the P/R module for the new company, you may get a ""data files need to be created"" message. I've noticed this in 4.40.0.6 - on multiple systems. Doesn't appear to be an issue in 4.30 since the Forms ckboxes aren't accessible.

We have seen that issue too.

I've noticed that issue for some time now. Every time it happened to me, I would start all over again and not uncheck the form box. PITA but wasn't worth asking about. Figured it was a WAD to generate support calls.................

I noticed this quirk also this year-end while copying backup payroll companies in version 4.40 for 2011. I followed @Jeff's procedure for my few version 4.40 clients.
