  • 1.  Conversion Error - "Electronic Reporting needs to be reinstalled"

    Doing a parallel conversion from Sage 100 2016 to Sage 100 2020.1.  After migrating the data I receive the following error when trying to convert the companies:

    "The Electronic Reporting for W2 and 1099s module needs to be reinstalled."

    This is a JobOps to Operations Management upgrade as well.  

    I have installed, uninstalled, and reinstalled the Aatrix Federal and State Reporting module and still get the error. 
    Before migrating I did have to uninstall the payroll module from the source location.

    When you uninstalled payroll, did it leave a PR folder with an eFiling folder underneath it?  And if so, did that migrate over?  Maybe try renaming that or moving it out of the folder structure.

    The only PR folder was one that Operations Management installed for holding the JobOps PVC files.  I renamed it with no luck. I think that Doug's suggestion could be correct.

    There used to be a separate module called magnetic media and then electronic reporting.  I would back up soa\sy0ctl.soa and mas_system\sy_module.  I sy0ctl search for records that begin with "l" (lower case L) and delete it if it is for electronic reporting.  In sy_module look for the electronic reporting record and delete it.

    Thank you, @Doug Higgs.  That was the problem.  I don't know WHY that old record was still there except for the fact that this system has been continually upgraded since v3.67 (perhaps before).  It's converting now without a problem... so far.  I hope that holds!

    I hadn't thought about that old module in al least 12 - 13 years!​
