Consultant Manager - Sage University In my attempt to consolidate all Certified Consultant fees we owe as a firm, I was told I could be designated as a Consultant Manager, so I could see all consultants and their status within SageU. This was created recently, but I don't remember any notification of this. I jokingly said to one of my partners that I probably have to take some training and pass tests for this. The answer is YES! I am now a Consultant Manager, and I'm sure next year Sage will think of a way to charge me $650 to renew that too.

@JohnHoyt it won't be $650 - as a Consultant Manager Sage will charge you $250 per consultant you manage, plus M&S of 35%...and make you take recertification...

There are 2 courses and 8 lessons. The tests are actually called ""quizzes"". As a corollary to the Infinite Monkey Theorem, a monkey could pass these, if it could use a mouse.

Pretty soon there's going to be a certification to see if you know who your account representative is.

John - My question to you: why have any more than 1 certified consultant? Since they took away the calls per consultant, I can't see any benefit to having multiples. I formerly had 8 CC's and now am at 3. And I'm thinking of dropping to 1.

Only certified consultant can call into sage. If you are certified and your customer is on plan the cases do not count. Unless of course you tell them that you are the client. But the email maybe an issue.

The only time I call Sage is either (a) the customer insists or (b) to ask if an issue is a known bug. Really about 98% of all questions get answered here.

Unless you are certified you can't officially call into sage. So if you don't call SAGE then you don't need to be certified.

Now I have found we have consultants with zero activity or history since Education changed their system. These are people who clearly had certs up until last year.

So the new SageU site took a page from Atlas and ""lost"" information?

I e-mailed my contact at Education yesterday and have not heard back yet. It may be a ""Wanna Get Away"" situation for them.
