  • 1.  Constant flashing on screen while reconciling bank

    I've followed the Sage KB suggestions below, but to no avail. Has anyone come up with a solution to this issue? I've checked the Scale and Layout, Display Resolution settings and there's nothing out of the ordinary or unusual that might cause a problem.

    The poor lady who does Bank Rec actually gets nauseous while looking at the screen and clicking in the Cleared box. 

    Here's the KB notes that I followed.

    Suggested workaround
    • In Sage100c with Standard Desktop, try setting Application Scaling to Default or Medium instead of Medium or Large (if available)
    • Uninstall, then reinstall, Workstation Setup under the correct conditions. 
    •  Note: For more information, see the Related Resources section.
    • • Get all users out, then rename two files in "..\MAS90\MAS_System" where Sage 100 is installed on the server: 
    •  SY_Console.m4t o SY_Workstation.m4t 
    • • Rename the "Sage100" folder at the workstation's "C:\Users\<Windows logon>\Documents" directory.

    Is there 100 years of unpurged trx in there?  Does it open ok elsewhere?

    No, the client purges reconciled items on a regular basis. I just tried changing the desktop back to Classic to see if that would make a difference. About 230 lines appeared in the reconciliation window, so that's really not a lot. Anyway I tried going through multiple lines and clicking them as cleared, but the screen flashing was still very much evident, but thankfully didn't make me feel nauseous.

    Have you tried maximizing the screen?  Had this happen with someone and it was due to the data populating the screen when all of the fields weren't visible without resizing.

    Have you tried changing the screen resolution?  1920 x 1080 or 1280 x 960 as a test.
