I've done two Premium to 2021 Premium migrations recently.
- First was to PU1 (forced to that version due to custom programming made for that patch level). SQL error during the migration, KB 76993 (Cannot open backup device...). I did the backups from source system to the target folder (in the error message) manually, and it worked after that.
- Second was to PU2, no errors / issues.
Two other upgrades to 2021.2 Advanced went fine.
Edit: PU's were installed prior to migration in all of the above upgrades.

I have not been applying PU for any PREMIUM upgrades until I've migrated and converted. This is based on feedback from several 90 Minders that there appears to be a product defect in either v2021 PU1 or PU2 specific to premium and to migration.
