Connecting to Access 2007 or 2010 via Crystal 11.5 - Has anyone encountered any issues with connecting Crystal Reports 11.5 via the ODBC to Access 2007?

No issues if you connect using OLE DB (ADO), with MS Office 12 Access Database Engine. Errors arise when connecting with Access/Excel (DAO) data source.

I haven't seen the problem Mark describes and I use the Access/Excel (DAO) driver exclusively, but I have had problems with the MS Access driver that supports both database types (MDB and ACCDB). Changing to the older driver has been my workaround.

When connecting via the ADO per Mark's recommendation, we are missing tables. Only three SQRY tables appear (there are more) plus all of the PTQ's are missing. From the SAP KB, I found this article about creating a new ODBC - http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/oss_notes_boj/sdn_oss_boj_bi/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/scn_bosap/notes%7B6163636573733d36393736354636443646363436353344333933393338323636393736354637333631373036453646373436353733354636453735364436323635373233443330333033303331333233303336333833353338%7D.do We have had ""missing table"" issues in the past that have ""mysteriously"" resolved themselves. Dan what did you do to change to the older driver????

It has a differnt name (Microsoft Access Driver(*.mdb) as opposed to Microsoft Acccess Driver(*.mdb, *.accdb) or MS Access Driver(*.mdb, *.accdb). You may have to install some older driver if this is a new workstation that has only had MS Access 2010.

This post is a little bizarre. The only place I can see it is in the specific group. It doesn't display in the ""consolidated"" category display shown when you first login to SC. Anyone else experience this type of behavior?

What's the ""consolidated"" category? It appears in my Home area as well in the specific area. The category that loads by default is defined by you by clicking the little gear to the right of group name when it is selected (Web page method only - I mostly use the Desktop app which doesn't show this option).

Is it possible to load the 2007 Access driver onto machine without loading the Access program?

Epilogue - I threw in the towel and just saved the ACCDB as a MDB file and connected the database via the ADO connection. I can now hang the Crystal on the MAS menu and pull data through the Access 2003 PTQ's tables. Dan B verified that it was time to give up the ghost.
