Bob's suggestions are good. But the customer deserves more, so I flip into Broken Record Mode: only help them through a
paid assess & analyze engagement.
Do you know what the Controller really wants on this? How much payment flexibility do customers need - is cc enough or do you also want ACH? Who will maintain (eg,
be responsible for) the "independent" customer portal
and its security? What will that really cost?
There is a reason that integrated CC merchants processors offer customer portals as part of the the fees: it's efficient this way. If you customer simply doesn't want to change cc vendors, then make sure they know the costs and risks. But really, this "request" is really a change in business processes, and should be analyzed as such.

There are customer payment portals by all 4 integrated merchant processors for credit card and ACH payments. Perhaps Sdata is an option for those who can design/connect it.

I will. I just also thought there was a customer portal available for Sage 100.

Their IT department used and recommended. I am looking for a recommended solution. I dont see where Connect Booster offers a Sage 100 integration. The client does not currently use any Sage integrated credit card solution (which I think click to pay offers a partial solution). The client would like their client to log into a portal, indicate the invoices they would like to pay and process a payment. If all of that is done, then an integration to import into Cash Receipts would be very much appreciated (if not totally expected).

Will they need to pay by invoice? Make a deposit? Import into Cash Receipts? Does CB permit integration?
