    Company uses 100 v4.5. One user has a MAC for a workstation. What's the best way to give the MAC user access to 100 v4.5?

    I know several members use Macs with MAS. Diane Ruth comes to mind first.....

    VMWare, Parallels or Boot Camp are the choices I know...

    We have a client using Citrix as the bridge between the MAC and Sage 100 Advanced.

    One approach is to get the RDP client from the App Store and run MAS on the server.

    This is the only MAC user in the company so VMware and Citrix are not options. I'm not familiar with Parallels or Boot Camp but will research.

    @JohnBroadfoot - I like that idea.

    VMWare and Parallels will let the MAC user load Windows from where they would then be able to run workstation setup and run MAS as if they were on a Windows computer.

    Is there a white paper or something on Evernote explaining our options for this? Just had a client call, new hire wants a MAC but will be a heavy user of Sage 100 Std......

    I don't think so - but it's not a bad idea. I know I have one customer now using Parallels. Seems as if anything that's market leading - which I think means Parallels or VMWARE - works provided you get a reliable connection.

    Terminal services works on a Mac as well. I've found VMWare to be a bit sluggish. Parallels - just logging in as if the Mac was a Windows machine - also works. But if the User is a big Mac user, then TS is a good solution as it works within the Apple operating system.

    The only issue with TS is smaller sites who don't have a TS balk. The other off-the-shelf solutions - Parallels/VMWARE are attractive in those situations. Otherwise my A1 recommendation is as Deb mentions - TS .
