  • 1.  Combining non Sage 100 payroll data in Aatrix

    I did a search to see if this topic has come up before but could not find it.  We have a customer who has Sage 100 (and Aatrix) for their permanent employees. They have some temporary employees on another payroll system.  They have always just printed payroll reports from each package then combined the data by hand and submitted 941s, etc. on paper forms.  Obviously, this is not a perfect system and prevents them from filing electronically.

    Now they are asking if it is possible to combine (even if by hand) the data from the other program into the Aatrix reporting in Sage 100.  I have played with the quarterly reports and don't see a problem as long as they fill out the fields with the correct amounts in the correct order.

    Has anyone else ever tried this? And do you see any pitfalls or have any pointers?

    It is possible to use Aatrix by uploading Excel files to their web version.  You would have to combine the reports from the two systems and submit it that way.  I believe @Lee Graham has done a report to export out of Sage 100 for Aatrix (though it may have only been for the old payroll).

    I have done the Excel template upload to Aatrix for 1099s several times.  When you get the info from the Aatrix web site when it asks for the accounting software you are using make sure to choose "other" not Sage 100.

    Another option would be to make a copy of the Sage 100 complany to a "PR1" company code then either manuall enter the additional payroll info or use VI to import to payroll data entry.  The do the reporting from the PR1 company.

    We did a simple Crystal Report to export the basic Employee W2 related info from Sage Payroll Employee file and Employee Tax Summary file.
