  • 1.  CM_Options_001 blocking upgrade from Advanced (2019) to Premium (2021)

The migration program crashes at the SQL translation phase.
...with reference in the log to CM_Options_001.  MAS_System SQL database doesn't have the table.
I tried renaming the M4T and it basically had the same result (migration program crashed with the same error, with slightly different logged errors).

Checking the source system and the data dictionary lists the table, but it's an obsolete reference.  The M4T has one record.

I asked DSD (since this customer has a couple DSD enhancements) and was told it's not their file, with mention to old Extended Solutions being the cause (but with nothing like that installed for at least the past two upgrades).

Question: is this something I can handle by removing the table in the DD (Delete Table button), or do I need to get Sage support involved?

Anything helpful under the Notes, Custom Info or Define Keys buttons?

This looks interesting... I'm a stranger to the DD, so I don't tend to poke around.
I guess clicking the 2nd checkbox might have bypassed the error too, but deleting the table seemed to have worked.

Kevin - Given the back story, short answer is Yes, click Delete Table. Also very cool how you made a copy of their production \mas90 and made it the migration source.

Thanks Alnoor.  That is what I did yesterday (to the MAS90 folder copy) and it went through.  It's nice to know I guessed right.  :-)

(I always migrate from a folder copy for Standard / Advanced, if at all possible... but especially for test migrations.  Take a copy after hours so it is clean, then work during the day at getting the migration done without affecting users... editing the copy however I need to, without risk).
