Client's PO ROG Register (4.40) has many transactions that are coded to various J/C Jobs. However, at least a few of the trans didn't hit the Jobs, but they did post to the GL. Seems like they just went into Never Never Land. Only thing I could attribute it to is some ""blip"" during the Update process. It does appear there's 1 or more entries/errors in the Sys Act Log that could have contributed to this, but unable to say for sure. Just looking for some thoughts or feedback. Thanks.

Has the client closed Sept yet? Maybe the transactions are showing up in Future in JC?

I thought that also at first, that maybe it got posted into a future period. I don't recall what their current Periods are, but regardless, everything else on the same PO ROG posted fine, except for these few transactions. And we were actually running the J/C Detail Transaction Report to try and locate the missing trans. Thought maybe it was a data file ""out of whack"" thing and that maybe the J/C module wasn't able to read the data properly. So I pulled the data into Crystal but still couldn't find it.

I had a similar issue with posting costs from SO Invoicing. The setup flag wasn't set to force selection of a cost code/cost type. the item costs weren't posted to the job although inventory was relieved from stock. Not sure if PO will allow skipping the cost code. also doesn't it update job cost from Receipt of invoice unless doing a receipt of goods/invoice in one step?

Interesting, thanks, @alanniergarth. I'll forward that info to the client and see if they can recreate the issue in a Test company.

If it's an inventory item it posts from ROG but if there is a diff on ROI it then posts that to the job instead of to a variance account. Misc/Special items still wait to post until ROI.

Adding to my last comment: ...although the PO ROG shows that those transactions were in fact coded to a cost code/cost type, and also, upon drilling into the G/L trans / PO trans-Lines screen, those records show the coded J/C info.

What product update is the client on @BrettZimmerman? - had the same issue in 4.40 and product update took care of it. I'm trying to find the issue on Atlas, that may take a while.

4.40.0.6 I wasn't able to locate anything in the KB when I first looked.

I looked too @BrettZimmerman andI know that I saw it before Atlas. Is there any reason not to take the client up to the latest service pack? The issue my client had was the PO receipts picking up the job cost info. from the line preceeding it in the register updates.

Try your search in the Old KB. It was working yesterday. If it doens't work, you can still get the article ID and put it in Atlas under Old KB ID. Sorry, forgot, you have to have the Status Bar on you Browser turned on to see the KB ID when you hover over a link.
