Clients occasionally hide the ribbons. You can restore by clicking on the three horizontal dots but this is only a temporary solution. For the life of me, I do not see the solution for a permanent fix.

No deleting any records in the registry like when the launcher used to come unmoored?

I was always able to fix the drifting launcher by clicking around on the header at the bow of the launch(er).......

I could locally but often failed remotely, plus trying to talk someone through clicking just right was harder than talking them through regedit, for me.

Ah, the beauty of remote connections. Those are the days I actually DON'T miss. Wasn't PCAnywhere a godsend?
