Client's MAS 90 4.2 and MAS 90 4.5 is not including the Employee Sponsored Health Care on the M/R W2REPORT file. Should it? It looks like the problem may be they setup the deduction as Standard vs Empoyer Sponseored or Pension, but I will need to test - so just validating if expected to export to W2REPORT, since, how would MAS 90 know which plan is Employee Sponsored Health deduction?

The deduction needs to be an 'Employer Contribution' deduction type to keep it from messing with payroll. All it really does is keep track of totals in the employee's record and make the accrual and expense postings to GL. I believe setting W2 - Box 12 Code to DD is what allows the W2 programs to identify it as a Employee Sponsored Health deduction. I don't think DD is a choice very many releases back. It may not be avaliable in 4.2.

Update: We have a Sage 100 ERP 4.50.5 pilot system installed. (Per 2012 IRD Release notes the 2012 IRD was included in the PU5 - NOT!). The 2012 IRD had to be installed. Also, the Deduction Code W2-Box DD flag is what is used to export these amounts to the W2REPORT file (RW 463-473; RT 295-309), and print on the W2. The Deduction Type does not matter. The Employer Sponsered Health Care/Insurance amount exports whether the Deduction Type is S(tandard), P(ension) or E(mployer Contribution).
