ClientCare: Someone new has been assigned to us, because either our person was reassigned, is overwhelmed or is just gone. Our new person told us that all payments for December have to be in by 12/21 or they won't be posted until January, and he also asked that we invoice the rest of the clients on the December list, because they don't have time to follow up. And they are calling clients who expire the end of this month and telling them they are due the next day. Something is seriously wrong in Nashville. Anyone else having these issues?

And why is this OUR problem? All I care about is that the client care is INVOICED. Who cares when they post the payment? I settle my account once a month on the 23rd with AMEX.

Despite being told - in various terminology at various times - that everything is working fine in clientcare land - that continues to not be my experience as evidenced by completely wrong 300% quote customer received directly from Sage. We also continue to wait for verification of renewal $$ (which we must do because Sage makes so many mistakes which they fail to honor) as well as corrected $$ for invoices Sage have sent with incorrect amounts.

And all this crap for what % margin?? And it costs us more per client to deal with bugs and upgrades than Sage does in creating new versions and they keep 82% of the profit.

I look at the renewals for small (typical) customers where the fee from Sage has gone up $400 to $600 and ask myself what value has Sage supplied to earn this other than a strong need to show earnings growth to UK in order to stay in business.

Apparently Sage does not understand the concept of value pricing. @JohnShaver ;-)

They probably think it means shareholder value, not customer value.

Holy cow @JohnHoyt - this is unbelievable. In the old, old days, as an Accpac partner, we made more margins based on our renewal rate. We busted ass and typically got 95+% renewals every month and were rewarded with 35% margins. Now you are unceremoniously told to go invoice them yourselves and it's up to you to collect? Wow... who's going to do your job while you do their job?

I now have an e-mail from the Client Care Team Lead who wants to discuss my issues. I'm just a checklist item, I'm sure.

I would first respond that it is Sage that has issues, not you:-) Otherwise it will certainly be a ""discussion"" in the Klessian sense.

@JohnHoyt That's quite an understatement! Promos, really?
