Client workstation auto updated to Windows 8.1 and it broke paperless office document creation. 100 Advanced 4.4.0.10. Has anyone else already tackled this or do I get to explore the wilderness on my own?

Turning off locking caused a ""Printer Not Activated, Error Code -20"" error. That error led to this resolution http://infosource.sagesoftware... which toward the end says to verify permissions in the Registry on the HKey_Current_Config_Software key. Added full control (Allow) for Everyone/Administrators/Users and Paperless now seems to be working. This was a new place for me to have to deal with permissions.

I didn't forget. I made the bad assumption it was a new problem rather than one recreated by the auto update of windows. Thankfully you have the corporate memory to keep us all on task!

Yeah, TG I only have half heimers..........

But this is good to know as I have two clients with WIN 8 workstations. I am sure they will be interested to know that there is a slight issue with the update...
