Client wants to mix exploded and non-exploded sub assemblies on a Production Entry. I tried to make one of the non-exploding items a KIT but the damn thing exploded down to the next level anyway (the kit item had just one line item on it, and kits are only supposed to go one level deep). Anyone have any suggestions? Right now they are setting up versions of lots of the bills (phantom and non) because even though a subassembly is not stocked and they want it exploded, they CAN sell it and make it individually.

Use bill options instead

This isn't really an option. It's every time they produce the final bill they don't want it to explode, but they do want other parts to explode.
