Client upgraded to 4.5 and wants to use Paperless e-mailing functionality. They use Outlook (not Exchange), hosted by Go Daddy. Does this fall under the category of a public mail server, for which they will need to update to v2013?

I don't believe so. Should just need their SMTP credentials.

I'm running into a similar issue. Client has Hosted Exchange thru Go Daddy which apparently does not allow SMTP relay. It's only allowing for e-mails to internal e-mail accounts - and Go Daddy says that's how it is. @BarbaraGoldstein, what did your client end up doing?

My client is planning on setting up a new domain/e-mail account for a small fee just for Paperless e-mailing purposes. I also mentioned to them what Alnoor had suggested in a different post: 'Use the ""paid"" version of PostCast Server or SMTP Relay Server by SoftHeap, or some other equivalent.' Additionally I explained that another option is to use some other existing e-mail account/settings that they have, for example a personal Comcast account since it doesn't really matter what account we use for the Paperless e-mail setup, as long as it supports standard SMTP for sending e-mails (on their 4.40 system). I even told them we could realistically use my Comcast account, but if my password ever changed, it'd stop working.

@BrettZimmerman - I've ""lent"" my Comcast account to a client in the past to prove it wasn't a MAS issue. Took them a while to ""return"" it.

My client has not done anything yet. They're still getting used to 4.5.
