Sage 100

Client upgraded from 4.5 to 2013 v4. Two machines get errors when printing to a particular printer (HP Color LaserJet CP4020) in various weird ways. 1 - In Cust Inq, printing AR Aging from Invoices tab - can do it once, goes to Sage 100 ERP has stopped working the second time. 2 - Trying to print exact same report from menu - says it can't find the report, Load Report Failed IF you chose to run for only 1 customer, but runs fine if running for all customers. None of this happens if you are printing to a different printer. Deleted the printer and added back in - came in slightly differently the second time. First time did not have server as part of name, second time did. Unfortunately, made no diff with errors. Other people can print to same printer and get no errors.

Does the report have no printer selected? Just a first thought.

Is the driver PCL6 or PCL5? MAS often seems to have weird issues with PCL6 drivers.

It's currently a PCL6. I just shot off an email to the IT staff to ask for help in getting a good PCL5 driver. Fingers crossed.

Was Crystal installed on this workstation? Install Crystal from the unpacked Crystal folder and not from the internal Productivity Tools. Also visit SY_ReportSetting.m4t (in the MAS_System folder) and delete any records created for the report/form that was error'd on. Also what SU do you have loaded. If not SU3- make sure the hot fix LM5004-T is loaded.

@JoanSerr - no Crystal and it happens on lots and lots of reports. SU4.

user rights to printer?

@WayneSchulz - I checked that, too and made sure they had all rights.

OK, everyone - the IT guys were able to find a PCL5 driver that worked, and all is swell now. WHEW. On to the next fire.
