Sage 100

Client upgraded from 4.3-4.5. The total sales in the monthly buckets for certain items for certain months does not match to 4.3 AND it does not match to the transaction detail. Ran the recalc inventgory utility and no change. Has anyone run into this and have something we should be looking for, or is this just another call to Sage?

I ran into some variation of this I think on a customer who changed or had a short fiscal year. If it's similar we used DSD IMFX to correct.

Can you regenerate the fiscal periods in GL????

@BethBowers - yeah I think we had to run the util in 4.3 prior to upgrading.

I don't think that's going to work. What we've now found is for one particular item (amongst many), if you look at the transaction detail, it shows 31 items sold. 4.3 shows 31. 4.5 shows 21. After a recalc Inventory. :-(

Beth , @Jeff has a good point. If you change fiscal years in GL in v440 and above . I have noticed that it does some inventory period recalculation too. Once this is done you might try recalculating the inventory using the inventory utilities. I would definitely try it on a copy anyways.

We have run the Recalc Util in Inventory. And for a particular month - the detail should equal the summary no matter what....

Well, Sage confirms a bug, which has to do with a difference in how they handle drop ships between 4.3- to 4.4+. Client doesn't have many drop ships, but if Sage thinks they are fixing it, we don't care what they are blaming it on.
