Client unable to add new inventory item in v4.40 Sage 100 Advanced. Got everyone out and attempted to rebuild CI_Item but received error message ""Rebuild failed. Disk is full or unable to create backup"". Checked space available both where the data is stored and where the program is installed and there's plenty of space. Was able to copy CI_Item with problem.

Could the file be flagged as read only?

Do you have rights in the IMxxx folder? Can you create a text file in there without an error?

The end of file may be corrupted. Try rebuilding the CI_Item file.

Try the rebuild logging in MAS 90 style: Browse to the MAS90/Home directory. Double-click PVXWIN32.exe. Type RUN ""Startup.m4p"".

Thanks Doug, that did allow me to rebuild the key file. For dummies like me, to log in MAS90 style, you must be on the server itself. Browse to the MAS program folders and locate MAS90/Home. Double click PVXWIN32.EXE. Open the PVX box and type ""Startup.m4p"" I did have three bad keys, once deleted, all is good.

You don't have to be on the server itself. You can do it through a mapped drive from the client. If you wished, you could have all clients run in MAS 90 style. This is handy if something is wrong with the application sever or if you need to temporarily move the data around and still wish to have access to it.

I agree with Todd. Yesterday, I needed to run 200 in 90 mode. I just copied a MAS90 shortcut to the client side, then changed the pathing under the shortcuts property setting. I sometimes run 200 ""90 Style"" when doing the initial migration during a new installation. Works very well.
