Sage 100

Hi All,   Have a client on 2021.1 Premium.  SQL and Sage are on a single Windows 2016 server.  They have one RDP server running Windows 2019 and everyone uses it to run Sage.  It has been very stable for months.  Last week they had an issue where their previous IT had never licenced the SQL server and it stopped as it was past the evaluation period. They did get in licensed within about a day (I was not involved it that side of the process as all).and they seemed to be up and running fine.  The SQL utility reported no problems.  Now they are having constant issues with stranded sessions.   We did find that one user installed a printer to her laptop and was trying to print to it.  Saw a number of the "Sage 100 has stopped responding" messages on the server.   IT cleaned up the printer issue and turned off printer redirection with a group policy.  But the issue with Sage "locking up" and stranded sessions is continuing.   I have several times recreated the SY_Console, SY_Workstation as well as the locate and sessions pvk files.  For good measure I recreated the SY_lockfileinfo as well.  Seems to be continuing in spite of this.   I am asking their IT to recreate the windows profile for the user that had the printer issue as she seems to be continuing to cause problems with she uses Sage.

   Windows updates have been applied to both servers.

   Any thoughts on troubleshooting would be greatly appreciated.   

Hi All, turned out to be file locks on the server from windows.  Once they were cleared the issue went away.    This can be moved out of urgent.
