Client received funding from new venture capital firm in mid February and recorded revalued assets and goodwill on Sunday 2/8. They need a trial balance report from start of business 2/9 through all period end dates in 2015. I can compute new beginning balances at point of recapitalization and was thinking putting those in a udf and creating a customized Trial Balance report but maybe Sage Intelligence solution might be better. Thoughts?

I'm not quite sure what you're asking. Is it a short period you need through 2/8?

What they've asked for is a Trial Balance style report that begins with balances at 2/9 then a column for net debit/credit, then a column for balances at a selected period end. I'm leaning more toward SI than monkeying with Crystal but hoped one of you wizards might have some brilliant solution I haven't thought off yet.

Did the company change ownership? Is it a new entity? If so, you could change your GL years so that the 2014 year end is 2/8. This would give you a GL reflective of these changes.

I'm still waiting on guidance from CPAs but was told that they still needed to produce a full year's financial statements too.

Can you not just print the GL Detail report by specific dates and summarized? Looks just like a TB. Set Selection Criteria to ""By Date"", Summarize Detail, Condensed.
