Client on Sage 100 Standard 2014 SU 7. Client is did year end closing for payroll and says this is the first year ever that terminated employees weren't purged from her system. I'm not sure how to reply. Haven't had this issue come up before. TIA

thanks Jeff. Is there a way to purge them?

They're purged based on the number of years to retain efiling check history setting in payroll options. They don't want employees purged because of efiling requirements.

Change the number of years to retain eFiling check history..... Personally, this is a great feature. Modify the ALE to exclude terminated employees???

Thanks Mary and Jeff. Because she's already done year end closing I would think only options is do ALE.

I believe the employee record is not purged so that Aatrix will be able to re-print ACA reports from the live company code. So in 2017 if you want to re-print a 2015 employee's ACA report you will be able to. Can anyone confirm my understanding?

I know this client is going to say I don't have ACA requirement.

Right - even if you change the setup option, it won't purge anyone out until you run year-end for 2016. I agree with Jeff - let them there. And they might not have ACA requirements now, but who knows what the future will bring.

Called client and explained new feature. I told her she could change eFiling history. she said she tried and it doesn't let her go lower than 2 years.
