Client on Sage 100 Advanced 4.3.23 Wants to turn on Auto logoff for users. We tested and found that auto logoff logs users out of the software even if they are in data entry with an invoice in progress. Are clients using this feature despite this issue?

I don't recommend using it due to that very reason - it closes even if they have an active task. Why do they want to use it?

People are going home without closing the program and it's interfering with jobs that run at night. Also, sometimes they run out of licenses. thanks for the response. I had a hunch it wasn't recommended for this very reason.

Anyone search the KB for the issue. This would seem to be a bug. I have an alpha copy of 2013. Will test the issue with it and submit as a bug when I verify that it still exists.

I had a 4.4 client with unwanted logoffs. Sage support told me to disable it because it did not work properly and that it would be fixed in 4.5. Don't know if that is the case.

Well, I tested in v4.5 Sage 100 Std and it isn't fixed. Maybe they were really lying about 2013.........

Just tested it in 2013 Sage 100 Std and it is still coming up goose eggs.... I am adding it to my Alpha defect log.....

Not sure if it is my computer or not, but migration of v4.4 companies is very SLOWWWWWWW.......

Just thinking out loud .. another way to force everyone off the system might be to write a program similar to what Master Console does with Kill task button and repeat that for every task in Sy_Console.m4t

Install their v4.5 unlocking keys even if upgrading their system is not possible at this time. That will provide another user license. Or sell them more user licenses.
