Client on Sage 100 Advanced 2013 PU3. About once a week their Crystal form codes stop working for SO & PO. Attached is the cache error. It only happens on Windows7 machines. The fix is for a domain admin to log into a local Windows7 workstation, fire up Sage, print using that form code. Then, it works for all other users & all other form codes. We have given full rights to all users on all files/folders related to Sage on the server & the workstations. This started happening a couple months ago on a Tuesday our of the blue, but now it is almost every Wednesday that it happens. Not sure if some type of Windows weekly update is causing this & don't know why the fix works, but need a better, permanent fix.

There is an old feature which I don't know if it still works or is supported called Crystal Web Reports. It's a subset implementation of the Crystal Enterprise product. That's what this error is referring to. If you go into MAS / Library Master / Main / User Maintenance / Preferences do you see Crystal Web Reports checked for any user? If so it that user logging into MAS and trying to run reports on Wednesdays or Tuesday nights?

There is no Crystal Web Reports on the Preferences tab. I see it in other systems prior to 2013, but not here.

This could be a DEP issue (invalid memory address). Control panel, System, Advanced System Settings, Advanced, Performance, Settings, DEP. Exclude the CRW32.exe or whatever the Crystal executable is. log off and log back on with admin rights.

Check to see if all your MAS users have read/write permissions to the MAS server's C:\programdata\Sage software folder

Ah true but I see the flag for it is still in the Sy_User.m4t file. You could DFDM the file and check the value for UseCrystalWebReports there? Or run a quick Crystal report or Excel query off of it.

@DougHiggs & @MaryMays - thank you, I will look at both of these settings. @AlnoorCassim - thank you; I checked DFDM & all users are set to N.

@DougHiggs the DEP issue, is this on the server or local machines?

@DanaYoung I was referring to the workstation as Crystal forms are generated locally but it also applies to the server as Sage 100 uses server side processing .
